The sea is my blood. I was born and raised on the Cape. I am a native Coddah. As a young boy I spent my time roaming the beaches and docks of Chatham dreaming of the sea. My great grandfather, Joseph C. Lincoln, spent his life writing books about the Cape and her sea captains. His father and the grandfathers before him sailed from the Cape. Though I can never experience the sea as they have, through Offshore Pursuits, I can share with you the stories of our time. Through this blog we bring you the latest news and fishing reports from Cape Cod. Join us and share your own tales of the wind, water and fishing offshore.

Here in RI we are preparing for the trout season opening on the second Sat. in April. The significance of that date is the usual arrival of school stripers on the RI coast. If they stay on schedule we should see them in good numbers at Tom Shoal on Martha's Vineyard by Memorial Day. Let's hope the 60" bluefin bite off Hatteras are our Chatham fish on there way back up the coast. They have arrived in mid June the last few years.
